I moved to Taiwan during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. On day 2 of my 14 day quarantine, I had a panic attack. My anxiety chronically locks me in, making it difficult to enjoy the present moment, and be my true self. Having ignored my anxiety for far too long, 14 days alone, with nowhere to go and nowhere to be, allowed me to work through it as it peaked, flooded through, and brought me to my knees. The colors comforted me with every stroke as I cried and shed away my past hurt.
